Frank in his office

Frank climbing "Yankee Clipper" in El Portrero Chico

El Potrero Chico
Hidalgo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico

El Potrero Chico features a paradise full of
world class multi-pitch sport climbing ranging
from 5.7 to 5.13d. Dozens of 2000+ feet long
routes are available.

The startling enormous jagged wall of El Toro
rises up almost 3000 feet. Waking up to these
towering cliffs with their elaborately patterned
limestone formations is transforming. Even
climbers jaded by the enormity of Yosemite are
often blown away by the immensity of this scale.
Woe to the person who arrives in the dark or
infrequent clouds and is unprepared for the view
when they first awake, without the opportunity to
approach it gradually from afar!
